"Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia" (CSRDG) in cooperation with Caucasus University hosted Luciano Balbo's public lecture "Investing for impact - European experience and trends" at Caucasus University.

Luciano Balbo is the founder of Oltre Venture, an Italian impact investment fund management company with many years of experience in private equity.

Luciano shared his experience on impact investing in Italy with students from different universities. The public lecture also discussed: the essence of impact investing, why investing for impact? Activities of impact funds and the role of big business in creating sustainable positive impact, etc.

Luciano Balbo was on a working visit to Georgia on the initiative of CSRDG and with the support of EVPA on September 29-30. The guest led a master class for representatives of the business sector within the B2B exhibition of social enterprises.

The lecture was held with the support of the European Union, within the framework of the project "Cooperation for Positive Change - Development of Social Entrepreneurship and Social Investments for Economic and Social Empowerment in Eastern Partnership Countries", which is implemented in Georgia by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), with the support of the European Commission and the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA).
