The goal of the project is to develop and maintain local human capital in Guria, Kakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions for social and economic empowerment.
In order to achieve the goal, two main goals were defined within the project:
1. To create new employment opportunities for job seekers by developing skills corresponding to market demand and connecting employers and potential employees;
2. To support young people studying in schools and vocational schools to acquire appropriate knowledge and skills in order to effectively use existing employment opportunities.
Expected results of the project
An employment market survey will be carried out in the target regions, which will reveal the attitudes of local businesses towards existing job seekers, in particular, what their requirements are and how relevant they are to the current situation.
• More than 1,670 people will improve their knowledge and skills needed for employment in the target regions
• At least 300 job seekers will be employed during the project
• 6 employment promotion centers will be created in the 3 target regions of the project, which will serve at least 900 people
• 6 social enterprises will be created/expanded, where at least 20 people from less competitive groups in the labor market will be employed.
• 5 partnership projects will be implemented with the business sector to create new jobs in the regions
• Entrepreneurship and career development clubs will be formed in 28 schools, where at least 450 students will improve their entrepreneurial skills and deepen their knowledge about various professions.
• Up to 200 teachers will be trained and in the target schools, min. 20 integrated projects for the development of entrepreneurial skills
• Organizational development consulting services adapted to the needs will be implemented in 5 vocational schools
